Kordegraphias Maco Art Fair Mexico City 2019
Khordegrpahies are a series of graphic works made with carbon, starting from actions similar to those of my work radiografías (2016), using the frottage and golpage (rubbing and striking) techniques over abandoned useless guitars, trying in this way to reactivate them thanks to a complex and dynamic visual result, that remits us to sound vibrations and movement in music, giving them back their discarded potential.
In a second version in 2019 during the MACO art fair in Mexico City, I decided to make this actions as a live performance, extending them to the use of another string instrument, the Guzheng (Chinese Koto), using now rice paper with the purpose that the objects interacting with the strings would produce more interesting sounds. In this way, the musical improvisations produced different graphic results that were the result of a dialectic and constant interaction between sound and vision.

Las Khordegraphias son una serie de obras gráficas al carbón, a partir de acciones similares a las de mi obra radiografías (2016), utilizando las técnicas de frottage y golpage (frotar y golpear) sobre guitarras abandonadas y en desuso, intentando de este modo reactivarlas a partir de un resultado visual dinámico y complejo, que remite a las vibraciones sonoras, al movimiento y a la música, devolviéndoles así su potencial desechado.
En una segunda versión realizada en 2019 en la feria de arte MACO en la ciudad de México, decidí realizar estas acciones como un performance en vivo, extendiéndolas al uso de otro instrumento de cuerda, el Guzheng (Koto Chino), y utilizando papel de arroz delgado con el propósito de que la acción de los objetos sobre las cuerdas produjeran sonidos más interesantes. De este modo, las improvisaciones musicales generaron distintos resultados gráficos que surgen de la interacción dialéctica y constante entre sonido y visualidad.
